Majestic marble entry wall
This project was a true challenge for a villa in La Zagaleta residential area (Benahavís – Marbella). The challenge was to achieve an entry door to the property that fully blended into the majestic wall made of Indian green marble. The main requirement they asked for was a spectacular effect whilst keeping elegant discretion. The marble of the door weighs about 1,200kg and the idea was to make it move without any apparent effort, in other words, make it look deceitfully light and dynamic. To solve this matter, we decided to use a symmetrical distribution of weight, one engine only, and interlock for ultrasilent movement.
